Why Progressive Presses

The APEX 10® was built for shooters, by shooters—designed to handle the demands of high-volume reloading with commercial-grade durability. Every press features a rugged cast iron frame and a CNC machined billet aluminum toolhead, giving it the strength to withstand extremely high round counts without sacrificing precision.

Its ten-station tool head offers unmatched versatility, allowing you to configure the press for everything from case processing to full progressive loading. Conversion kits and modular accessories make caliber changes simple, while the press’s smooth, consistent indexing ensures repeatable performance with every cycle.

As Mark 7’s own flagship progressive press, the APEX 10 brings together strength, adaptability, and speed in one platform built to keep up with serious reloaders.

The Benefits of 10 Station's

The key advantage of a 10-Station toolhead lies in its ability to separate specific die operations, allowing each station to perform a dedicated function for enhanced precision and efficiency. This includes:

  • Separation of Sizing and Decapping
By using a universal decapping die, the decapping pin can be removed from the sizing die and installed over the priming station. This setup not only allows the sizing die to have its own dedicated station, but also enhances the centering and hold-down of the case, leading to more consistent priming.

  • Separation of Flaring and Powder Drop
Separating these two functions improves both the quality and control of the case mouth flare. This configuration also ensures that the powder measure is solely responsible for dropping powder. Systems that combine flaring and powder dropping can cause brass to stick to the flare plug, which can dislodge when the toolhead lifts, potentially disrupting the powder measure and leading to inconsistent charges. Our powder measures are specifically designed to drop powder, and attempting to use them for flaring can damage the mechanism.

  • Dedicated Bullet Feeder, Powder Check, Seating, and Crimping Stations
With fewer stations, you may be forced to combine some of these critical functions, which compromises both time efficiency and the overall quality of the reloaded rounds. By dedicating a station to each of these functions, our system saves you valuable time and ensures greater precision, allowing for more effective and consistent reloading without the need to frequently switch dies.

  • Station Separation Produces Superior Results
Combining critical operations like some other die makers, such as seating and crimping, can result in subpar outcomes, such as bullet jacket damage, which affects both accuracy and consistency. Separating these functions maximizes the potential of each round, ensuring higher-quality ammunition.

  • Freedom of Customization
Although the 10-Station toolhead offers ample space for advanced setups, you don’t have to use all 10 stations if your current needs don’t require it. For example, if you’re primarily reloading basic pistol ammunition, you can use the 10-Station toolhead as you would any other. The additional stations, however, provide future-proof flexibility, allowing you to expand your reloading setup as your needs grow.

Easy Automation

The APEX 10® was engineered from the ground up with automation in mind — sharing its core architecture and performance pedigree with Mark 7’s Revolution® platform. Its design tolerances, tooling geometry, and mechanical robustness ensure it can thrive under continuous automated operation, sustaining extremely high round counts without degrading precision.

Paired with the Mark 7 Autodrive™, the APEX 10 can achieve speeds up to 3,500 rounds per hour, while giving you full digital control over speed, dwell, clutch torque, and more. You'll also be backed by Mark 7’s industry-leading support, as we constantly provide firmware updates and can get you in touch with an expert to help with any potential learning curves you have when first starting to reload.

Other Advantages to Apex 10

11" Case Feeder

Designed to handle the demanding speeds of our Autodrive units, but also works great on hand operated progressive presses. We started with all metal construction for strength and durability and added a variable speed DC motor which can be fine turned for your specific application. An advanced and reliable proximity switch controls the flow of cases to the press. Our unique bowl design has a trap door which makes it easy to remove cases as well as an adjustable funnel to handle most calibers. The Case Feeder also features a quick detach funnel adapter for easy removal and installation. Mounts directly to your Apex 10 press.

Powder Check Alarm

The Mark 7® Powder Check Alarm will sound an audible alarm if a grossly incorrect powder level is detected inside the case. A must-have for people who want full confidence that every round produced has powder. Includes inserts for both pistol and rifle applications. Compatible with almost any manual single stage or progressive press.

Mechanical Powder Measure

When using a press mounted powder measure there is no need to have a separate powder measure mounted to your bench, saving space and time.

  • Superior engineering means our powder measure is fully loaded with features.
  • Accuracy within +/- 1/10 of a grain (±0.1 gr).
  • Powder hopper capacity of 5,000 grains, and integrated powder screen to help keep out any unwanted debris.
  • Powder baffle to ensure consistent and repeatable powder drops.
  • Case actuated operation, with built in compliance to work with varying case lengths.
  • The rotating barrel is built using sealed ball bearings, and oil impregnated bronze bushings on all sliding surfaces to insure smooth operation and extended life.
  • Simple disassembly for cleaning and converting from pistol to rifle and rifle to pistol.

  • The ease and time required to change calibers depends on both your primer size and level of experience.  Small calibers can take as little as 30 minutes or less with all necessary accessories. Small to large caliber or large to small caliber changes could take up to an hour depending on the number of pieces changed.
  • No special tools are needed, but a good Allen wrench set is recommended. It will take about an 1 hour to 90 minutes to get the press set up* meaning the press is physically set up but not ready to load on: that will take another 1 to 2 hours. The necessary step are:
    1. Install the sensors
    2. Set up and adjust the bullet feeder and case feeder
    3. Set dies
    4. Set the sensors
    5. Set powder measure charge, etc...
  • In all, you should expect to spend approximately 90 minutes to set up a manual press, or approximately 3 or more hours for an automated press with sensors.
  • The Rev is our flagship/workhorse press that comes standard with a larger 14” case feeder, Mr. Bullet feeder pro, digital powder measure, and commercial vibratory priming system.
  • This is a direct drive unit that is extremely smooth in operation and designed to surpass that coveted million round mark.
  • Very easy: Simply install your Apex 10® / Evolution™ Autodrive which typically requires 30 - 45 minutes on average.
  • This is a “loaded question” (pun intended). This will depend heavily on the cost of your components you purchase.
  • We tend to look at this as more of an opportunity to load ammunition to your own specifications and tailor to your paricular guns.
  • Your monthly ammo bill is actually likely to increase, not because you are paying more per round, but you will simply be shooting more
  • Our presses are 10 station, and designed around, and for automation. Almost by default, this makes them more robust in operation and have much tighter tolerances.
  • With 10 stations, we can separate all aspects of reloading to create a better finished round of ammunition, while still adding sensors and bullet drop stations. No more combining seating/crimping dies, powder drop with case flaring, or sizing with decapping.
  • Absolutely. All standard 7/8"-14 thread dies will work in our presses as long as they do not need contact with the shell plate for proper operation.
  • We would recommend a manual press for anyone who is newer to reloading, or unfamiliar with progressive presses. There is a lot happening all at once with automation and can be a lot for the operator to handle without the basic knowledge of press operation. Automation is a great step up for loaders down the road once they are familiar with the process.
  • Automation can, and will add a level of consistency to the operators output. The motor will operate the press in the same manner and speed for every stroke. This can have a positive effect on powder drop, priming and bullet seating/crimping. This will also give a higher sustained output.
  • The Apex 10 comes with either small OR large priming system components. If the priming system size needs to be switched, you'll need to purchase either a Small Primer Conversion Kit (#101-1241-01) or a Large Primer Conversion Kit (#101-1241-02).
  • Caliber specific dies
  • Spare tool head and stand (optional but highly recommended for faster caliber changes.)
  • Extra powder measure (optional but highly recommended for faster caliber changes)
    • if not purchasing a whole P/M, then will need a P/M conversion kit if changing from pistol to rifle or vice versa.
  • Bullet feeder conversion kit
  • Case feeder conversion plate
  • Press conversion kit (#101-1068)
  • Yes, as long as you are using your press with an autodrive
  • Our digital sensors need an auto drive to function.
  • We highly recommend our mechanical powder check sensor for use while loading on your Apex 10.
  • Yes, when used with an Evolution™/ Apex 10® Autodrive.
